Two

Outside is a scary place, 

When you're only two. 

Though you might be precocious, 

Dogs are ferocious.

Cats are quite frightening too. 

Outside, lurks the unknown, 

When you're new in the world, 

Where the winds all howl, 

And the noisy trucks prowl, 

Through a terrible land of absurd. 

Outside is a scary place, 

It's mysterious and wild, 

But it's wonderful too, 

And I'll go out with you, 

We'll be brave, my darling child.
